The under floor heating and cooling system is the most efficient and comfortable solution available. Considering the improvement of insulation of the new buildings, and the need of a system working perfectly with low temperature water produced by inverter heat pumps and condensing boilers, under floor heating and cooling systems are now the most used. The distribution of heat is uniform into the different areas, and there are no convective air circulations, being the heat transmitted by radiation.

Can the electronic regulation/control kit be used for under floor heating and cooling systems?

The electronic regulation and control are developed to control under floor heating and cooling systems. In case of cooling installations they have to be installed together with the humidity sensor to control humidity levels and activate the dehumidifiers, when necessary.

Which is the difference between the two perimeter insulations for UFH available in the catalogue?

The perimeter insulation strip for UFH with dimension 7x150 is for residential applications, where the concrete layer thickness is 4,5 cm on top of the pipe. The one 10x250 is for industrial applications, where the concrete layer thickness is up to 12 cm on top of the pipe. It is important to use the industrial perimeter insulation strip only in industrial applications, considering that it is fully adhesive and can damage the walls.

After installing the floor covering (ceramic, parquet, etc) there are still a few centimeters of perimetral insulation on top of the covering. What can I do?

It is normal and correct to hide the perimeter insulation with the baseboard, so the perimeter insulation has to be cut at the same level of the covering. It is important to pay attention removing the insulation from the wall, since the adhesive is very strong and it can damage the wall.

Is a under floor heating system moving dust more than usual?

In a under floor heating system, the maximum temperature of the surface of the floor is 29 °C (central area), so it is not high enough to create the convective air circulation which could move the dust.

How can I hide the expansion joints that must be done on the concrete of a UFH system?

Generally, it is possible to make the joints corresponding to the junction between the tiles. Anyway it is possible to use silicon based glue (to be approved for UFH by the producer) able to absorb the expansion of the concrete even if the joint is covered by tiles.
